I used to run into him a lot in cafes like, cafe one, Dandini, he would buy the locals breakfasts. His wife was a loyal type, well, ok, they all are. Apparently he thought a lot of himself did Max especially with the ladies, he told one reporter that because of his power "Even if I looked like quasimodo the ladies would still throw themselves at me".
When I read that I swear I thought, I knew he reminded me of a character from tv or just someone quite unattractive ,,, and now I know.

Met him in a bank once . Was talking to him about what I was going to do for my stag do . Mentioned a private box at Upton Park and when he told me his son had one I thought he was going to offer it up but he just walked off ... cunt !

Planted his sodding great Bentley where we put out the no parking cones.

I too hope he wrote a book. Definitely knew where all the bodies are buried.
Lots of journalists end up in his line of work though, protecting the rich and strange.
Why dish the dirt on celebs when you can charge them far more for keeping what you know about them under wraps. You can make yourself almost indispensable to them.

What I detested most about this man was he loved selling cheap smut and gossipy shit as well as exposing anyone he could simply because they were famous, but he wanted to be seen as a decent honest family guy, to me he always seemed dark and underhanded in character.
